Below are examples of portraits I’ve done in the past. Some are commissions, others are sketches of models or friends. All the paintings are oil on linen and life-size.

Portrait Commissions:
Working on a portrait commission in a private home here in Florence.
I do portraits on commission throughout the year. For the greater part of the project I will need to work directly from life. Luckily I paint fast, and my requirements are minimal. I usually require 3 to 10 sittings of 2 hours each, depending on the complexity of the project. In the past I have traveled to clients homes for commissions, or they have visited Florence for a week or so to be painted in my studio, enjoying the beauty and culture of the region in their free time.
