This summer I’m skipping my usual solo show. I missed half a year of painting in 2011 and wont have enough work unfortunately. I will have new work at the Haynes Galleries in Maine and with the Grenning Gallery on Long Island. In September I’ll have some work on show in London with Constantine Lindsay.

I stopped by at the Haynes Gallery in Thomastown and had Gary Haynes pull out your Netherland sketches. They look even better in life. The subtleties of your grays and greens don’t come through so much on-line.
He did a nice job framing them and seems a really nice guy. I’ve been going crazy this summer trying various surfaces on panels to paint on and was trying to figure out what you used. Are those the zekki panels you wrote about sometime? The surface looked really nice. I need to make them myself, and it’s so difficult to make a smooth surface with takes paint well and doesn’t sink in.
