Here are some of my sketches from our plein air workshop near Volterra. We had good weather for the ten days, even if the wind was problematic at times. I find wind can be harder to work with than rain.

Wonderful painting! They are painted on reddish or pink ground? It looks like the colour of the earth below shining through, really nice.
Your paintings always remind of why I would love to visit Italy someday. I love all of these but find The Era intriguing.
